Side Swept Pony Tail

side swepted pony 223x300 Quick and Chic Hairstyles for the OfficeThose with shoulder length can easily pull off this hairstyle. A side-swept pony tail with your natural air-dried hair can look ultra-chic and sophisticated. Better yet if you hate having your hair fly everywhere while at work this is the best hairstyle to go for!

Start by combing your hair and slick it back. Apply a lightweight serum to smooth out any fly-aways and create a side part. If your hair tends to get flat from the crown, create a slight volume look by taking the foremost section of your hair and twist it then push it slightly forward then pin it down. If you have oily hair skip out on using a serum and simply finish off with a hairspray instead.

The Classic Bun

Hair bun 300x225 Quick and Chic Hairstyles for the OfficeBuns have always been a classic office look. To give it a trendy edge- create a high bun with a puff. Take a small section from the crown and tease it to create some volume, pin it down to keep it in place. Pull the rest of your hair back and twist it, take a few hair pins to keep it in place.
Low buns look sophisticated and appropriate for a business meeting while a high bun is trendy. If you have short hairand want to create a bun, use a sock to make a donut bun. A sock can help you add volume to your hair. Take a sock that matches your hair color in shades of brown or black sock of your choice. Cut a hole through the toe area and roll the fabric to make a donut. Tie your hair in a pony and pull the sock through your hair and begin tucking in your hair on the sides and pinning them down.

Messy Looped Ponytail

If you are in a hurry to head out the door, a messy ponytail is the way to go. If your hair is a mess and you just need to pull it all back and tie it up- go for a bedhead ponytail. A messy ponytail can easily be pulled off as chic in the office.
Start off by prepping your hair with dry shampoo or take a bit of baby powder in your palm and massage it on your roots to absorb any excess oil. Take your hair and pull it all back and put it in a pony, on the final loop don’t pull all of your out. Instead loop half of it and create a bun-style effect. Take some strands and loosen them up a bit. This style looks better with messier and tangled locks.
