This will help wash out any particles that might have gotten into your eyes while also refreshing them. You can also try spray a bit of Rose Water to help the irritation and then lightly dabbing a tissue onto your eye. The key is to not be harsh and aggressive about rubbing your eyes since it can cause premature aging and wrinkles.
Cold Compress Massage
The easiest way to reduce puffiness and dark circles is to apply a cold temperature compress. The cold temperature will naturally constrict blood vessels that will reduce puffiness and dark circles. There are a few ways to go about a cold massage.
The first is the easiest and mess free. Take 2 spoons and place them in the freezer for a couple of hours until they are ice cold. Place the spoons onto your eyes, the bottom side meeting your eyelid. Leave it on until the spoon becomes warm. Do this every night before you go to sleep.
Another method for a cold compress is by using thinly sliced cucumber or white potato. Apply the slices over your closed eyes and lie down for 15 minutes to allow the cool cucumber to work its magic. The coolness helps to decrease puffiness.
Tea Bag Method
Caffeine is known to reduce puffiness around the eyes as well as increase in blood circulation that can reduce darkness. It helps to shrink blood vessels, some may even find caffeine in popular eye treatment creams. A simple and easy way to include caffeine into your skin care is by using green tea bags.
Soak 2 green tea bags in warm water after you’ve used them to make your hot cup of tea. Make sure that the tea bags are not dripping wet then place one over each eye while lying down. Keep them on for about 30 minutes. Repeat in the morning to get the best results. If you can, find green tea with a high level of caffeine to increase your results.
