Acne is a skin condition that mainly occurs on the face and sometimes on other body parts such as back and arms. It usually appears during the years when your hormonal changes, but sometimes it reappears after 30. During teenage, the body produces too much sebum due to hormonal imbalances that cause acne. However, even if you have an oily or dry skin, acne can occur on your face, no matter how old you are, especially in times of psychological stress.

- Stress and prolonged emotional tension.
- Specific drugs like androgens and lithium.
- Hormonal changes associated with pregnancy, use of pills or the appearance of polycystic ovary syndrome.
